Rachel Beckstrom Fundraiser

The Beckstroms are friends and old neighbors of ours in Tooele, UT. Their daughter, Rachel, was recently in a terrible car accident while serving a church mission in Atlanta, Georgia. Her companion was killed and Rachel is in critical condition, including having had brain surgery, part of her skull removed, some broken ribs, a fractured sacrum, and some lung issues.

I want to help lift their financial burden from travel and medical costs during this hard time as much as I can, so I'll be donating all of my commission from any Clever Container orders placed under "Beckstrom Fundraiser" on my site: www.CleverContainer.com/JessicaWalker/shop. Just choose their fundraiser from the drop down menu at checkout. If you'd rather just donate directly to their family there is a Go Fund Me account with more details and updates on Rachel's condition HERE.

Please keep their family in your prayers and share this fundraiser so we can help them in their time of need.

"Clever" Things for Your Resolutions

It's a new year! Do you like to set New Year's resolutions like much of the country? Do you find yourself wishing there were some way to make it a little easier to stick to your resolutions? Well, you've come to the right place! I've got some "clever" items and ideas to help you achieve them and to keep things organized in a fun way!

Here are some products that might help with the top 10 most common resolutions:

1. "Lose Weight" = The "Phubby" (phone cubby)

So you can have your phone or music playing device on you to help with your exercising! The special Lycra/Spandex mesh fabric and touch technology allows wearers to view and operate their cell phone without removing it from the cubby. (I love mine for those times when I don't have pockets too!)
Available in black or pink, size regular or small.

2. "Getting Organized"

Here...let me just direct you to my ENTIRE website ;) Just click the "shop now" or "catalog" tabs to see all my clever organizing items available for purchase. Isn't organizing fun!?

3. "Spend Less, Save More" = The "Go Save Go" wallet

Compact for the person on the go! Clear your purse clutter once and for all by organizing your receipts, coupons, and miscellaneous notes. Includes a grommet for hanging and three pockets to file all your shopping lists and more. Just fold, grab and go!Available in Crazy Paisley or Pink.

4. "Enjoy Life to the Fullest" = Shelves On The Go

For many this means traveling - bon voyage! This ingenious portable packing system that expands and collapses will allow you to unpack within seconds! Only 24 oz. but will hold up to 35 pounds. Adjustable straps will allow you to hang from a closet rod or top of door. Fits perfectly into carry-on luggage.

5. "Staying Fit and Healthy" = The Black Scroll Fruit Bowl

Keep your bananas fresh and your fruit ready for packing -- or healthy snacking -- with this stylish yet functional fruit bowl.

6. "Learn Something Exciting" = The Clever CarryAll

What better way to do this than by reading!? This awesome document holder with handles allows you to take your bills, files, magazines and general stuff on the go! It also sits nicely on a shelf. Included is a label to identify your contents when not in use. Ships folded flat.
Available in Blue or Crazy Paisley.

7. "Quit Smoking" = Bin There Zebra Set of 3

To rid yourself of a bad habit you need to replace it with a good one, so many people like to take on a craft - such as knitting. These wildly adorable set of 3 cardboard boxes nest inside one another when not in use. The lids are hinged and they have an elastic to secure that they stay shut, so the contents don’t spill when moved about. The circular opening is perfect for pulling yarn through without making a mess of it too!

8. "Help Others in Their Dreams" = Join my team!

One of the things I love about being an independent consultant for Clever Container is that I get to help others achieve their dreams! I don't just sign them up and ignore them, I mentor them to take action and achieve their goals.Whether that means providing an opportunity for paying down debt, working from home, having a flexible schedule, becoming a leader, owning their own business, providing a meaningful service by teaching organizing techniques, or even learning how to organize their own home while getting needed products at a discount or free, I get to help them live out whatever it is they dream! It's very fulfilling :)
Is this one of your resolutions? Check out details about how you can become a Clever Container independent consultant HERE.

9. "Fall in Love" = Lights Out

Ok, this one might be stretching it a bit...but who doesn't like falling in love with a good book!? It's the perfect bedside buddy! Tuck the "lights out" between your mattresses and you have extra space for your books, magazines, reading glasses, electronic devices, tissue and more. Good luck getting to sleep with so much to love available at your fingertips! Folds flat when not in use.

10. "Spend More Time with Family" = ....

I could list quite a few for this one! There are many items that can help you save time so you can get to the family fun - like the Clever Shopper so you can empty your shopping cart in one swoop, the All By My Shelf and the Shoe Cubby so you don't waste time looking for things as you run off to an activity, the Handle It that makes a great beach bag so you can enjoy sandy memories, or our auto organizers that make road trips awesome. But of course I have to mention one thing that is near and dear to my heart...and that is the opportunity Clever Container gives to have a FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. Seriously, I LOVE that I get to schedule my work around my family so I don't have to miss a single moment from their first step to the birth of their own child (once mine get to that point...mine are pretty much babies still, so that better not be for a LONG time! Lol!)

Auto organizers in Pop Dot (also available in Black)

How's That Journey to Becoming Organized Going?

How's my journey to becoming organized going? Well, it's going the pace of baby steps...little baby steps...but not as little as the "steps" my 4-month-old takes ;)

No there's actually been some progress! What progress? Well...first off, I not only have taken on starting this new (and awesome if I do say so myself) business with Clever Container (which is going GREAT by the way), but recently I have also taken on being a mom of 2 (hence the 4-month-old), doing "daycare" (babysitting 5 children who are not my own on a regular basis - not at the same time...only up to 3 of them at one time) to help bring in extra money until my business is profiting enough, we are doing construction on half of our house (I'm surprised how well we are surviving living in just half...especially with daycare), and I was asked to join a special choir that will be performing in a televised broadcast to the world on Oct. 4th (2-4pm MST)...so I don't have a lot of organizing updates to show. But hey, excuses stink, so get with it, Jessica! So...

Here's the progress I HAVE made:
Probably shouldn't have taken these pictures on my cell phone...
  1. I've got a nice calender system going :)
    • It's so good for your sanity if you can see an overview of your schedule in one place if you are super busy like me...and who isn't?
      • I'm actually using a white board working-calendar in my office so I don't have paper waste!
  2. Speaking of an "office", I have one now!
    • I spent the BEST $10 I ever have and got myself a nice "new to me" desk with hutch! It's so much better than my old system of sitting on the couch with my laptop and a pile of paperwork or bills.
      • It even came with an amazing, supportive swivel chair that sits me properly and is quite comfy. Thanks Barbie! (...my friend who I bought it off of)
  3. My "to do" lists have now been transferred to a white board (and color coded!)
    • I used to do paper (messy and useless because I misplaced them all the time) or digital on my phone (easy to ignore), but now there's not a mess and I can't ignore it so easily!
      • Eventually I'm going to switch to THIS system because it's cute and super useful.
  4. Business materials are mostly organized!
    • There's still room for improvement, but for the most part my business materials are organized from an all-inclusive binder to organized files on my computer. I'm especially loving my Suite Seat for when I do home parties :)
      • Now it's just a matter of keeping up good habits of putting things back where they belong...
  5. Budgeting.
    • I used to balance our budget month-to-month, but now I am trying pay-date to pay-date so I can really see the balance of our money.
      • It brought forth some revelations about our budget that have motivated us to cut back costs and encouraged me:
        • We switched cell phone companies to one that is saving us $80/month
        • We got rid of Netflix
        • We traded in our leased car for a financed car with a lower monthly payment
        • I realized I'm bringing in ENOUGH money between Clever Container and daycare that it's all going to be ok!
          • We are working to get out of debt (three college degrees + a newly started one to pay for between my husband and I, plus all that other debt from cars to our home to some credit cards)
          • It looks like sooner than I expected Clever Container may replace my daycare income too!
What's next?
  1. Laundry. I NEED to get a better system going for my laundry efforts.
    • It doesn't help that my laundry room is in that half of the house that is under construction, but I'm resourceful and there HAS to be a better way.
  2. Dishes. My worst enemy.
    • Mostly I need to get organized in my efforts, but perhaps some decluttering could help.
  3. The office. A vital "organ" to my money making efforts.
    • It's on the right path already, but there's still more that can be improved.
Your turn!
What areas do you need to get organized? What successes have you already had?

Welcome: a Journey to Becoming Organized

Welcome to my new adventure: a journey to becoming organized!

If you know me personally, I haven't been known as being the most organized in the past. I come from a family background that had a lot of challenges - being organized was one of the big ones. I feel I've come a long way in my adult life, but it's been a hard, long process that is no where near complete. Then I found Clever Container, a company with organizational products that helps you become organized! But it's more than just the products, it's all about the process - or as I call it - the journey, and they help you in getting organized with their tips, tricks, and advice along the way. How amazing is that? A company that is truly about helping people!

So here I was thinking, "Wow! It's the answer I've been needing!" And then I realized I could do more than just benefit in the organizing department by being a customer, there was this huge opportunity staring me in the face where I could share that gift with others and make money doing it. I had done and loved direct sales in the past, but never felt quite the passion that was building here: a chance to help people whether or not they buy my product! Of course, I hope people will buy my product as I show them how well it will work for organizing, but that's not the point. The point is in the process of helping them get organized.

Did you know...
And I'm doing just that^^^^ I'm learning how to become better organized (and will be documenting that journey here) and I want to share what I learn with you too! So here I am, your Clever Container consultant, ready to teach you all I can (and I've been learning a lot!) So let's get together *yeah, yeah, yeah* - sorry, I can't resist breaking into song when the moment arises ;) - and have some organizing fun!! Ready!?

You can check out the amazing product at www.MyCleverBiz.com/JessicaWalker. Also, be sure to *like* me on Facebook so you don't miss out on all the fun and tips!

Who's excited!?

P.S. I love making friends, so let's get your party or class booked today so we can party it up! ;)
